Abstract

It is known that immune responsiveness of northerners is characterized by elevated levels of immunosuppression, which, in its turn, indicates activation of cell and, ultimately, humoral immunity mechanisms. Due to the inefficient suppressor link, there emerge and increase in concentration circulating immune complexes, some immunoglobulins, and autoantibodies. In case of severe T-cell immunodeficiency these processes expose the human body to cell-mediated cytotoxicity.

Keywords

Polar region, nomadic and settled reindeer breeders, cell-mediated citotoxicity, immune homeostasis.
